Wolfgang Ziniel works in the field of entrepreneurship, data bases, industry analyses, structure analyses and in the field of retail research at the Austrian Institute for SME Research.
He studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). His majors were empirical methods in the social and economic sciences, industrial business administration and retailing & marketing. After some time in practice he was employed as a research and teaching assistant at the Institute of Marketing Management (WU) from 2007-2011. His key research activities include multivariate methods in the social and the economic sciences. His dissertation (Prof. Reinhold Hatzinger) is concerned with psychometric consumer behaviour research and was awarded the „Stephan-Koren-Preis“ in 2012.
He is member of the Austrian Statistical Society (Österreichische Statistische Gesellschaft, ÖSG) and the German Society of Online Research (DGOF). Besides, he is lecturer at Universities of Applied Sciences.
