Efficient Implementation of Innovation in SMEs

By analysing how to support the efficient implementation of digital innovation in SME, the project aims at the development of a suitable set of methods to support innovation agents providing evidence-based and efficient consultation. The respective results are, among others, based on the use of applied methods e.g. social network analysis.

Evaluation und Wirkungsanalyse CTI-Entrepreneurship
Evaluation and impact monitoring of CTI Entrepreneurship

The goal of this accompanying evaluation of the CTI Entrepreneurship Programme to support high-tech start-ups is to assess its design, implementation and short and medium-term impacts. For the latter, we apply models from social psychology to assess the impact of individual training modules and accompanying measures on start-up activities and the performance of nascent enterprises in a complex environment of varied support structures across Switzerland.

Early-Intervention-Strategien und Ansätze in Deutschland - Good Practices und Empfehlungen für Österreich
Early Intervention strategies and measures in Germany

The situation on the labour market for specific population groups (low skilled persons, migrants, 50+, etc.) becomes more problematic. One of the political solutions is early intervention. To draft such measures effectively the study analyses early intervention measures in Germany and draws lessons learnt for Austria. Methods applied are literature and document analysis, expert interviews and case studies.

Demand analysis for the bachelor programme “Business Informatics” at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences

The study comprises an ex-ante assessment of the overall demand for graduates of the projected study programme in the region by using secondary data, literature and interviews with enterprises / experts. In addition, the study includes an assessment of the acceptance / interest of potential students for the study programme.

Regionales Fachkräfte-Screening Oberösterreich
Screening of regional skills demand and supply in Upper Austria

This project analyses and assesses the labour market situation and development (labour demand and supply) at the level of occupations and qualifications in the regions of Upper Austria. This is done based on an in-depth analysis of regionalized labour market and educational data, and regional focus groups. The results serve as a basis for policies and initiatives to improve matching on regional labour markets. Einzelhandel – Quo Vadis?
Retail – quo vadis?

Retail trade is a main employer in Austria and also in Upper Austria. Every tenth employee in the Upper Austrian economy works in retail trade. Although there are structural changes, retail trade is (still) a stable employer. Trends and developments however indicate changes in retail trade with effects on the employment situation. Fundamental shifts in retail trade (keyword: internet retail trade) change the demands for the staff, and exactly these shifts and the high importance of retail trade as employer suggest a detailed discussion on the effects of central retail trade trends on the employment situation.

Workshop on Policy Evaluation of Local/Regional Development and Territorial Competitiveness Programs

The aim of this project was know-how transfer in the area of policy evaluation for regional development and territorial competitiveness programs.
The target group were local experts from different public and semi-public administrations and evaluators in the field of regional development. Involved partners in the delivery of the project are the Institute for Territorial Economic Development (InTER), the National Agency for Regional Development (NARD) and the Secretariat for Public Policy in Serbia.

Creation and development of jobs in care and support services for people with disabilities or health problems

Aim of the study was to examine job creation and retention in the social care sector, describing the current situation and highlighting good practices in developing both the numbers and quality of the care workforce. The study focuses on workers delivering community care services for persons with disabilities and/or chronic health problems below retirement age that promote social and economic integration.

Impact assessment of the qualification modules of AIT

AIT offered five qualification modules for the increase of competence of employees in designated areas. The implementation phase was evaluated to optimize implementation and to speed up learning processes by focussing on the usefulness and effects of the qualification modules.

The use of validation by enterprises for human resource and career development purposes

The study investigates the use of competence measurement and assessment among European enterprises. The focus was on the purposes of skills assessment, the methods used and the quality of results obtained. The research was primarily based on surveys and case studies in 10 European countries.
