While the added value of agricultural goods and food is increasing, companies in agriculture are feeling increasing cost pressure. Labour and social costs in particular contribute to this as essential elements of the cost structure of farms.
Since both food prices and labour and social costs in agriculture vary significantly in the EU countries, these labour costs are to be subjected to a detailed, comparative examination.
In addition to Austria itself, the labour costs for several comparative countries (Germany, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, Spain and Hungary) are examined within the framework of the project. In addition, productivity figures are collected and calculated according to product groups and countries.
