Harald Wieser focuses on transformation processes towards a more sustainable low-carbon economy. As a trained economist and sociologist, he adopts a systemic perspective and deploys a wide range ofof theories and methods to derive recommendations for policy-making. He held research and teaching positions at EURAC Research in Bolzano, Vienna University of Economics and Business, Vienna Chamber of Labour,  Maastricht Sustainability Institute, University of Manchester and Fraunhofer Institute in Berlin. Following his training in ecological economics and policy in Vienna and Maastricht, Harald completed a PhD in innovation management and policy at the University of Manchester. He has joined the Austrian Institute for SME Research in August 2020.
