Focus:

Thomas Oberholzner is a graduate of the Vienna University of Economics and Business, having studied business management with a focus on regional economics and economic geography. He has been working with the Austrian Institute for SME Research as a researcher since 1994 and in 1998 became member of the Executive Board. Thomas leads and supervises studies, policy evaluations and other research projects in the areas of SMEs & entrepreneurship, the labour market, regional policy, and the international economy, both at national and international (EU) levels. He has vast experience in supporting economic policy-making through evidence-based analysis and consultancy. For several years he was teaching business management at the Economic Promotion Institute of the Austrian Economic Chamber (Wifi). Since 2003, Thomas Oberholzner has been a member of the Executive Committee of the European Network for Social and Economic Research (ENSR).
