In the following, we provide an overview of our data protection measures and inform you about the data processing aspects of our web applications.

Data protection notice
KMU Forschung Austria carries out data processing on the basis of § 2d para. 1 and para. 2 of the Research Organisation Act. For our own or commissioned data processing, we act in accordance with the provisions of Article 28 DSGVO and for the security of our processing in accordance with Article 32 DSGVO.

Contact
If you contact us by e-mail, the data you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. Enquiries concerning our research activities will be stored indefinitely (Article 6(1)(f) DSGVO, predominantly legitimate interest). We do not pass on this data without your consent.
Visiting our websites
When you visit our websites, data is automatically stored in log files. This data is transferred from your device to our server(s). The data includes: IP address, timestamp, URL, referrer (original link), information about your browser and operating system. In addition, information about the transmitted data (file name, size, protocol information) is also stored. This data is necessary to ensure operation and is collected for internal statistical purposes about access to our content. The statistical analysis is exclusively processed internally (no transmission to third parties), whereby the IP address is deleted (anonymised) and no link to persons is sought at any time. Our websites do not use cookies. The log files are automatically overwritten after two weeks. We carry out this processing for predominantly legitimate interest (Article 6 (1) (f) DSGVO).
Online order
We would like to point out that for the purpose of simplifying the ordering process, joining the association and (later) processing the contract, the IP data of the connection owner will be stored, as well as the name and address of the orderer. In addition, the following data will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the association membership and the order process: Company name, title, name(s) and contact details of the contact person(s) (telephone, fax, e-mail) and the customer number. The data provided by you is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures (legal basis Article 6 para. 1 lit. a (consent) and b (necessary for the fulfilment of the contract) DSGVO). Without this data, we cannot conclude the contract with you. No data is transferred to third parties, with the exception of transfers for legal reasons (Article 6 para. 1 lit. c DSGVO), for example the transfer to our tax advisor for the fulfilment of our legal obligations.
All data from the contractual relationship or the association membership will be stored until the expiry of the legal retention period. The information provided as well as the ordered evaluations and other administrative data relating to the ordering process will also be stored during the ongoing membership of the association.

With our newsletter we provide information about our current research activities as well as selected research results. At the same time, we would like to better gauge your interest in our research.
You have the possibility to subscribe to our newsletter via this website. For this we need your e-mail address (name is optional). Your rights
Within the framework of our web applications, you have the rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority.
