Strukturanalyse im stationären Einzelhandel (Structural analysis of retail)
The structural change in stationary retailing is intensifying noticeably - not least due to the dynamic developments in Internet retailing. The number of retail outlets is declining continuously, while concentration tendencies are on the rise. The sales areas are shifting from traditional, grown locations to planned retail agglomerations (shopping centres, specialist market areas). KMU Forschung Austria has been analysing these structural changes annually since 2003. The comprehensive structural analyses focus on the development of the number of shops, sales areas and concentration tendencies in the stationary retail trade in Austria. The database is mainly provided by the KMU Forschung Austria structural database for stationary retail trade.
