Information and Consulting

Since 2004, the Austrian Institute for SME Research has been carrying out regular structural and business cycle analyses as well as studies on the business situation and development of the knowledge-based service companies in the information, communication and consulting sector. A central research topic is the macroeconomic significance of support services for other economic sectors (e.g. in the field of digitalisation).

Economic Report Information and Consulting 2022

After Corona-related declines in turnover in 2020, the information and consulting sector developed positively again in 2021. Only in the printing, advertising and book/media industries was it not yet possible to reach the starting level of 2019.
